People with college educations make wiser consumer decisions. Imagine there are two people; one without, and one with a college education. They both are interested in buying a new house. The uneducated person might get taken advantage of because they aren’t familiar with money, or math, or real estate matters. The educated person will be more likely to understand these things. The uneducated person will most likely buy the house not knowing exactly what went on and, consequently, may have paid a lot more for the house than someone who knew what was going on. The educated person will buy the house and not go for the little scams that come with buying a house. After he buys the house he will know exactly what went on and know that he made a good decision. The scenario with buying a car could result in the same way. This is much worse because car dealers can finagle in so many different ways and an uneducated person will have no idea what is going on and buy the car anyway. The educated person will go to many dealers and make sure the deal is on the up and up. Someone with a college education will most likely raise their children differently than someone without one. They are more likely to want their children to go to college as well. People with an education will most likely be able to support their family better than someone without one. They will have better jobs and will be able to save more money for their children’s education in the future.
People with a college education usually have a better quality of life. They have better jobs, nicer houses, nicer cars, and are better equipped as consumers making purchasing decisions. They are more up to date and have a better understanding about world affairs. They are the future of the United States of America. College educated people are making an investment towards their future and the future of their family.
